You don’t have to travel to New York in order to enjoy Broadway’s top musicals. Performances from top Broadway hits are now featured as part of the Broadway 2 variety show which is set to open at the Montreal casino this month. The medley of popular hits from Cabaret, Les Miserables, Starmania, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and other spectacular Broadway shows is open to Montreal residents and visitors who visit the Montreal Casino.
Tickets for Broadway 2 Montreal casino entertainment are on sale at ticket outlets around Montreal as well as online. The Broadway 2 musical follows hot on the heels of the immensely successful Broadway variety show. The show features a troupe of singers, dancers and actors who recreate the songs from some of Broadway’s biggest hits.
Visitors can enjoy the 90 minute show at the Casino du Montreal’s Cabaret du Casino where many of the best Montreal casino events are held. The Cabaret venue offers high caliber acoustics and a 616 seat theatre that offers both balcony and restaurant seating. The Cabaret is located in the historic Pavilion du Quebec. The Pavilion is a historic venue which dates back to the Expo ’67 World’s Fair which took place on the Ile Notre Dame, set in the middle of the Saint Laurent Straits of Montreal. In recent years the old exhibition halls were renovated into two casino pavilions plus an annex. These buildings now form the Casino du Montreal. The pavilions continue to be called by their original names. The Quebec Pavilion, where the Quebec exhibition was once held, presently serves as the cabaret entertainment complex.
